Hoplite Hades. Casper Chin-Hwa Kim. MYTHOS organization.

Strengths: I’m not sure if I could emphasize how much I love that this kid’s name is Casper. It’s so absolutely awesome. It’s relevant in more than one way, too.

Casper is great and I love the route you’ve taken with the death element. This character is an excellent example of not going with what you first think of when working with an element. Rather than making Gothy McEmopants or Opposite O’Irony, the author went for some weirder aspects of death: bugs, senor citizens, listening to old stories.

I love Casper’s personality, and think he will fit very well into the MYTHOS organization (at least in play), since we seem to be lacking in the reliable, honest quiet person department. I also have to say that it was a nice touch to make him kind of shy, but also have him be able to put himself out there. My favorite aspect of his personality was the part where he won’t let people just fuck up, and will slap them around a bit. XD I thought that was great. His history was great, too, and you handled the death in his family, and explaining his ability to predict death very well without creating a world of weepy pain.

My favorite aspect of this character was definitely the skills. I can’t actually pick out a favorite because I liked all of them. They were all unique and well executed. I also liked that you didn’t really go for skills that would directly affect people around you, since that’s a popular thing to do. Of course, I also loved the signature attack, although I will admit that I think we need to get people cracking on some offensive abilities.

What I loved: Bugs, the senior citizen aspects, The Exorcist skill, the Deathly Silence skill, the invisibility helmet (OMG!!) and the challenge phrase (DOUBLE OMG XD)

Suggestions: Since Casper is Hades GOD OF THE UNDERWORLD!!1! I’d like to see him develop to be a very intimidating, if not powerful, force to be reckoned with. That’s entirely up to you, though, but I think it’d be cool to see Casper, who’s not really offensive, become somewhat of a powerhouse.

Verdict: Accepted! Welcome to the game!
